Our purpose is to promote social welfare and restore citizens' ownership of our democracy by mobilizing grassroots participation in the community. San Francisco for Democracy works to ensure that elected officials are held accountable to the electorate.

This site is a hub where newly-awakened American citizens can: 1) purge ourselves of complacency and ignorance about our own political system, institutions, leaders, and our relationships to them and, 2) take action to defend our endangered Republic and democratic ideals, as originally described in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
